Well that is not exactly what President Obama has said, but it should be pretty clear. But it is not.(Michael Lind) We can't wait till the American people understand.

While Mitch McConnell and John Boehner provide the non-sense, Michael Lind provides some relief with Morning Joe a bit more consideration, with Dr. Zbigniew Brzezinski. Note that Morning Joe follows up with a panel on Rick Perry. More message on the mess age, later. While I agree that the Perry birther talk is silly, but it may be a convenient distraction from his tax plan. Convenient for the media but not the country. And convenient for the blame the "gotcha liberal media" strategy that seems very much a part of the Republican story. There is a catch-44.**

But back to funny business or the nature of our dilemma.
Obama+no+mics was not my original intent. No weight, it was! Obama is getting the message through, and giving Democrats the 4M in the $M to have everything on the table and a good fight over it. The people may see the difference, while Democrats do their best to Get'er done. The deficit commission is another wait-e matter. An Oak Table if you will to put ideas on the table without party characterizations.

Two Points

Please note that just because someone endorses the priciples of a movement, that does not mean they endorse any of their tactics. Obama has been accused of distancing himself from OWS, and the 99%, but I think that is only in terms of some of their behavior and some of their demands.

Who am I to suggest what might work for Occupy Wall Street, but it could be strategic to give them the park back and MoveOn[*] (pardon the Irony)! While I have associated with MoveOn, DFA, and a # of other acronyms and parties(individual and organizational) I think that their message can evolve and be more dimensional.

I guess this means that if you say something over and over again, you own it.
So when Obama used the phrase, he was violating a copyright, apparently. Meaning that his use of it was an attack on the last user of it. But wait, "lipstick" was the only link between "liptick on a pig" and the "pitull" Palin. Oh, wait. The pitbull did not have lipstick it was the hockey mom. That was the only difference. I guess this demonstrates the McCain courage, fighting aphorism proliferation. Meanwhile, it is a good thing that McCain has his "hockey mom" on a leash.

What irritated me was the piling on upon Mitt Romney. The second guessing was how Jared Bernstein discusses the context he was taken out of. As the panel on MH-P continued after her weigh-in on words via Barack Obama the segment on Word Police had nothing to do with my change, but everything to do with it; change and context and victim hoods. Not to mention "quote(s) from Nerdlandia" creeping into the X-change. (The hazzards of live blogging.***) I had no clue in the "footnote" controversy.** Am I falling for the spin, that Raw Money is a victim? Or do I forget my own theory of Share 'n Angle? Not too mention differences of intents[!]

Regarding the president's speech, here are my rough notes:  Jobs.. core mission... rebuilding economy...stalemate...choice two views.  Top down- wrong...typical middle class tax cuts $3600... repeat $3600 Obama midle class tax cuts... for sake of misinformation.  We tried, slowest job growth, falling income, rising deficits... we can't afford more.  [me: we 1/2 tried more or other way].  People are with him, cut small business taxes 18 times, for 97% of them.  We should agree to do what we agree on!  [poor 1%, 2% 3%]  One year extention for under $250K then we can debate the rest and act or wait till after the election.  You are the ones driving the economy.  Learn lessons of the past, build foundation for the future.

The Romney campaign was trickling down beyond the pail, when Congressional Budget Chair Paul Ryan was selected as the VP candidate.  The watch word is turn around.  If it can't turn around its own rhetoric, wait... I am lost in a logical cul de sac.  Lies, I mean.  It needs to turn around its lies or it cannot turn around the country.  I recognize the irony of not being able to turn around its lies or they would not have a campaign against President Obama.  Much has been made by Romney about broken promises by the president, about not turning around the country.  Politics comes in three shades.  There is the politics of getting things done, there is the politics of partisan ideals, and there is the politics of winning a race.  I like the geometry of it.  But there is the darker shade of pail.  The outright not being able to run on the record.

Good Cop, Bad Cop Over:

If the Democrats manage to hold on, for the first time in a long time they would have an incentive to fight back against a system that is rigged in favor of the rich and the powerful. Because those same folks just declared war on them. If they don't join the battle soon, they are going to get wiped out in 2012. If you thought business interests spent a lot of money in this election, wait till you get a load of 2012.

To be clear, of course not all business interests are nefarious. They are a very legitimate constituency to consider when making policy. But when corporations use their power to kill a bill that would have stopped subsidies for offshoring jobs, then that is exactly the kind of abuse of power that is hurting this country. It should be apparent that if so much money is going against the Democrats and for the Republicans, then there is a major difference between the two, and voters may know that more than the money and polls will tell.

TRUST ME?

This is a big deal. And before I read all the links which I will provide here I will make my own connections or speculation/questions. Speculation(Slash)questions may be the leap to point, and the connection to the president may be the longest path. That about sums it all up without much of the burden of facts, which is what appeals most to the public and the Bush administration. Another connection? That was it. But now to insert the links for later reading unless the burden of something else moves me on.

Darn. As usual I cut to a connection and missed a few simple points. Which I guess are actually difficult to make given the problems above.

So here are the random "whatever"s:
Security Not a Problem? Ally in war on terror? Follow the rules? Follow the money. Fight them over there? Overseas Corporation? State-Owned Corporation. Dictatorship. Family Business. Corporatizing, not globalizing-- Democracy/Freedom.

Again the "whatever"s are the catch. But this should merit review of more than this transaction as it is more than about who operates the ports, but the process of the administration and (not just) who is making the decisions and how they are being made, as much as why.

Now I will fill in the links, and trust you to review them, and I hope to get to them later.

But wait-- now I find two more than the three I hadn’t finished. But key words especially intrigue me and I will not jump to connections the way Secretary of State Rice might, but maybe I have a hunch. Early Warning- anarchy - - Debate / facts may be the clue. But these I have yet to open.

Catching Up with US.

Just why is bureaucracy so at fault when Bush or whoever is in charge (he apparently has to investigate that) added to it by bringing FEMA under Homeland Security?

Homeland Security, and Bush, are more at fault than FEMA, unless blame is only trickle down. (For some it is the people's fault while they serve at the will of the president.)

No wonder New Orleans is flooded. For the sake of millions of bucks passed (NOT), we need billions of buckets to bail out the trickle down.

Maybe there is some sort of "rhetorical" balance in this administration. A linguistic "Tao" of sorts, or that sorts it out. Money is passed up, and "the buck" is passed down. Now I get the schizophrenic partnership between the pillars of the Republican party that are falling upon this country. Religion and the Almighty Dollar do not need to be so close or frictional, but it appears that the dollar to them is meant to rise while the moral burden is for the masses.

Wait. Is this only rhetoric? A metaphor may be more accurate. But rhetoric like money and religion are just words that need to be given meaning by how they are connected to the living and dying. And before I waste more words, I will just say that the bureaucracy is a key in providing the connections to more than just two factors.

The blame does not go to religion, money or bureaucracy which will and must change, but the actors that need to change. The PROCESS must be a two way street of ACCOUNTABILITY between many factors, rather than just the high road and the low road of survival of the "fittest" or we will continue to revolve rather than evolve.

If there is "intelligent design" it may be that I could not make any PROGRESS with a pun about removing the R and replacing the D to improve our evolution. But it also may show the "cause and effect" which is ACCOUNTABILITY that neither party nor people can escape

Now we have come full circle: He trusts the people, not the government, and now everything is on them.

DEAN EMOTIONS IN CONTROL:
( To Seatlle Times Editor about a piece by Tom Brown-see quotations in first paragraph).

Tom Brown is right. The results in Iowa can be good for the Democrats by having a more "vigorous primary season" rather than an "early runaway by Howard Dean". Also "Americans want someone in the White House who is in control, not someone who may go out of control". However, the horse is already out of the barn there.

Dean’s emotions are very appropriate and up front which is better than hidden agendas and wondering who is in control in the White House. The President’s handlers or "objective staff" who tell him the media is too filtered, should explain that if he had more press conferences that the press would at least have more to go on. Instead they control his exposure and his intelligence. Meanwhile the use of intelligence and leaks are out of control unless they want to control them.

It is hard to control your emotions when the President doesn’t know the difference between WMD and intentions, and has control of both but is not up front about either. As an "unnamed Democrat" now leads Bush, just wait till Dean or any Democrat faces Bush to see who has and will control.

Fact:
I hope people are looking up the word in a dictionary, but for Encarta the first three definitions have something to do with truth, the fourth is a term of law, so he certainly would not use that one. Anyway, this must mean truth can change or maybe we will wait for the dictionary to change.

What can change is that a fact can be trustworthy or not. That is apparently what has changed. Then not, again.

I do believe that the president claimed that critics were wrong and that he should be trusted with the decision. That seems not to have changed, while the facts have. Not. That seems to have changed or it never mattered.

You can have your cake and eat it too, but crow...
